Franciscan Scholarship Application
Scholarship Information
This prestigious scholarship is awarded to five entering freshmen who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance and leadership skills in high school, and show promise of continuing such performance in college and beyond. Students who are admitted to FranU and meet the following minimum criteria may apply for consideration.
High School GPA of 3.5 or better
ACT Composite score of 24 or SAT Composite score of 1180
Candidates will be evaluated based on their academic credentials, leadership and activity record, and essay. Recipients are offered a scholarship package valued at full tuition and fees per semester for up to eight semesters. Continued scholarship eligibility is contingent upon a 3.0 GPA and service to the University through various activities.

Required Additional Application Materials
If you meet the minimum criteria listed above and wish to be considered for the scholarship, you must submit the following additional application materials:
A résumé of your high school activities and leadership experiences, specifically listing any positions held in organizations of which you were a member. Also include activities or organizations in which you participated through your church or community.
An essay on the following: Inspired by Franciscan Heritage, FranU incorporates the Franciscan values of service, reverence and love for all of life, joyfulness of spirit, humility, and justice into the life and work of the institution. Of these five values, discuss the one that is most important to you and how so. Which value do you feel you need to work on? In your discussion, please explain your definition of the value, include examples from your own experiences, and how your presence as a Franciscan scholar would impact the university and the community.
Application Submission

November 15
