Anatomage table - Explore anatomy and physiology using the most technologically advanced system with a digital cadaver lab. - Approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Not available on Friday.
Simulated Environment Teaching Hospital (SETH) - Includes a birthing simulation with a maternity hi-fidelity manikin and an IV insertion workshop. - Approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Please contact for availability.
Chemiluminescence Station - Students look for traces of simulated blood left behind using luminol. - Approximately 30 minutes
Metal Flame Testing - Students explore the atomic differences of various metal solutions using heat. - Approximately 30 minutes
College Readiness Talk - Learn what it takes to be ready for college and more as FranU faculty and staff give insight on preparing for college, touching down on the campus, and how to be successful. - Approximately 30 minutes
Respiratory Therapy - Provides an overview of Respiratory Therapy with a demonstration in basic therapeutics. - Approximately 30 minutes
Radiologic Technology - Explore an overview of Radiologic Technology and watch as an x-ray is performed on a life-size skeleton phantom. - Approximately 30 minutes.
Nursing - Nurses play an essential role in providing care to patients in the hospital. Students will have an opportunity to practice some basic nursing skills such as, safely administering an intramuscular injection using an injecta pad, listening to heart, lung, and bowel sounds on low-fidelity mannequins, and identification of the different stages of pressure sores.- Approximately 30 minutes.
Medical Laboratory Science - Diagnostic testing performed in hospital laboratories including urinalysis, blood typing, biochemical testing on bacteria, and viewing of microscopic blood smears. - Approximately 30 minutes.
Psychology Aging Workshop - Explore what it might be like to live as an older adult facing one or more age-related health challenges. This simulation encourages positive problem-solving and provides opportunities to develop compassion. - Approximately 60 minutes.
